The Commission des partenaires du marché du travail is responsible for the sectoral action strategy aimed at solving workforce problems shared by businesses in a given sector. The strategy calls for the mobilization of employers and workers and a thorough understanding of the labour market.
Representatives of the business community, trade unions and labour associations are in the best position to understand the workforce problems in their respective sectors and propose solutions.
The Commission des partenaires du marché du travail therefore works collaboratively with committees representing the Québec labour market in taking sector-based action:
The Direction du développement des compétences et de l'intervention sectorielle of the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT) is responsible for sector-based action.
