Sector-based action
Under the responsibility of the Commission des partenaires du marché du travail (CPMT), sector-based action is a strategy aimed at solving labour force problems shared by employers in a given sector.
The strategy relies on the mobilization of employers and workers, who are in the best position to identify the labour force problems in their respective sectors and propose solutions.
The CPMT thus collaborates with various committees representing the Québec labour market:
- sectoral workforce committees
- job-entry and retention committees
- advisory committees
The Direction du développement des compétences et de l'intervention sectorielle at the CPMT is responsible for this area.
