Placement étudiant meets the student manpower needs of the Québec civil service, the private sector and municipalities. It works much the same way as any other employment and recruitment service.
The Placement étudiant website 
provides access to the Online Placement service, where you can post your candidacies and search job offers.
Online Placement
By posting candidacies (short résumé), you will be offering your services to thousands of private-sector employers while registering in the job bank for summer work with the Québec government. Summer jobs with the civil service are not posted on Online Placement. To get one of these jobs, you must post your student placement candidacies and keep them active.
Once posted, your candidacies can be viewed by all other employers as well. Online Placement also allows you to search job offers and quickly browse those fitting your profile. For the best chance of finding a job, consult the job offers posted on Online Placement regularly. Register for Job Alerts! to receive daily or weekly email notifications of new job offers that match your criteria. From the Online Placement site, you can also get information on a given trade or occupation by clicking on the LMI Online hyperlink.
