Job Readiness

Being Properly Prepared to Find the Right Job for You

Are you looking to re-enter the labour market? If you are eligible for the Job Readiness measure, you can participate in a project that will help you:

  • develop the personal skills you need to find work or stay employed;
  • gain a better understanding of the labour market;
  • look for a job;
  • do an internship;
  • acquire production-related work experience (in a job integration company).

Who is eligible for the Job Readiness measure?

  • Employment Insurance recipients.
  • Persons receiving benefits under a last-resort financial assistance program.
  • Unemployed persons who do not receive government income support.
  • Persons experiencing major difficulties trying to find or keep a job.

Participation time

Average of 20 hours per week.

Duration of assistance

Assistance may be provided for several weeks.

Resources providing this assistance

Non-profit organizations that specialize in the workforce and employability.
