Additional Assistance For Disabled Persons

Emploi-Québec puts at your disposal various tools to offset or lessen your disability’s limitations in relation to:

  • Determining your employment objectives,
  • Obtaining access to labour market information,
  • Participating in training activities,
  • Searching for and obtaining a job.
Below is an overview of the assistance you could benefit from following an analysis of your needs by your local employment centre (CLE).

Service adapted to your needs

  • We refer you to specialized workers or organizations who can help you or guide you in your job search or as you prepare for the job market.
  • We can finance the adapting of equipment and material you need to participate in a training activity.

Assistance to find a job

To help you find a job, we can:

  • Offer the company that hires you a wage subsidy to compensate for the impact your disability may have on the performance of your duties;
  • Provide the employer with financial support to adapt your work station and equipment to your needs, and render your workplace accessible;
  • Put at your disposal disability labour specialists who will accompany you in your dealings with an eventual employer and advise the employer on the special supervision you will require.

Below are some of the conditions that apply to this assistance:

  • The limitations related to your disability must be major and ongoing;
  • A specialized disability labour service must analyze your professional goals and limitations and the needs of the company that hires you.

Your social integration

If you are not able to hold a job in the short or medium term, we can facilitate your participation in community activities to help you acquire or maintain skills, behaviours or attitudes that will increase your chances of entering the labour market.
